Songsmith

Until now, if you wanted to sing alone without a backing group, you were limited to singing along with the karaoke classics, but were constrained by having to choose an existing song.

Songsmith is a new tool created by Microsoft that lets you sing away without worrying about the backing music, which will be created automatically as you sing.

You can choose from dozens of different musical styles, change the instruments, and regulate the speed and character of the rhythm.

As Songsmith is not perfect, you will also have the opportunity to manually change the notes after recording a song.
